The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens.

The NCC unit in KMCT Polytechnic College was established in the year 2013. This unit, comprising of 106 cadets, comes under 30 Kerala Battalion NCC, the Group Headquarter of which is at Calicut. Within the short span of 4 years this NCC unit could attain a great many achievements. It could mould about 35 cadets of National accreditation. Our cadets have attended Republic day parade, National games, National Trekking etc. Moreover, our Unit has the credit of earning NCC’s commendation award two times.

KMCT Polytechnic College NCC unit have the credit of having its own firing range. This could not have been possible without the ample support and help of KMCT management. With the personal efforts of our Director, Prof. N. Kumudini, a band troop was also established in the year 2014. KMCT Polytechnic college could host the prestigious state level NCC camp of 10 days, with a participation of about 1000 cadets, two times.

In academic field also our cadets could prove their identity. This year also the top scorer in the Diploma examination (April 2017) is an NCC cadet with a CGPA of 9.4.

Now, when we are stepping into fifth year of its inception, Our NCC is planning to establish an NCC Alumni association and to release a KMCT PTC NCC magazine. We are confident that our NCC unit will continue its journey towards perfection under the guidance and help from the KMCT management & Principal Sri. Udayan. C and under the leadership of ANO Lt. Amaljith C.S
